Backlink Analysis

Backlink Analysis finds link-building opportunities your competitors already have - referring domains that link to them but not yet to you. Each is a site that's proven willing to link to companies in your space.

Creating a gap campaign

  1. Open Backlinks and click New campaign.
  2. Enter your domain and up to 20 competitor domains - or use Auto-suggest to populate them.
  3. Choose a gap mode and prospect depth, review the credit estimate, and run it.

Union vs Intersect mode

  • Union - domains linking to any competitor. A wider net with more prospects.
  • Intersect - domains linking to all competitors. Fewer, higher-confidence prospects everyone in your category already has.

Reading prospects

Each prospect domain returns an opportunity score (0-100), authority rank, total backlinks, referring domains, competitor overlap, dofollow status, spam score, and first-seen/lost dates. Sort by score and work top-down.

Filtering and exporting

  • Filter by minimum authority, maximum spam score, dofollow only, or a specific competitor.
  • Review the score, authority, link-type, and competitor-overlap charts for the campaign.
  • Export the shortlist as CSV to hand to outreach.
